Welcome to my gallery! My Creative Nest.

Here you’ll find art born from memories from my childhood back in Colombia, my journey as a mother and birth assistant, as a tattoo artist and as illustrator, and my love for turning the magic and grace of everyday life into a piece of art.

Some of these are digital, and the others are the product of mixed media, ink, watercolour, gouache, collage.

They are all a self-discovery journey that simply reflects my voice and yearn to connect and heal through the freedom that creativity and imagination brings to me.

Lorem Ipsum...
El Niño que Escala Árboles
The Boy who Climbs Trees

This one is very special to me, I first wrote a story thinking of my father. And even though I love spoilers, I’ll reserve the details for my future project, stay tuned!

Took me 1h 22min.
Renaissance Feminine

I always wanted to be like one of those people who dreamed of flying, but instead, I dreamed of falling, eventually I got used to it, and when I woke up I was no longer afraid. I can daydream and draw wings to myself.

This design ended being tattooed as well, to my husband, who is my walking portfolio and biggest supporter.

It took me 2h 8min
Dreams and Nightmares

Who can tell the difference when fear no longer exists?

I love Alice in Wonderland, who doesn’t? It has everything, adventure in a world that made no sense whatsoever, and yet, even when I read it for the thousand time, it makes me understand so many things inside myself, that this dream, or nightmare, or illusion is just a reflection of the inner wild spirit that wants to be set free by our stubborn minds.

It took me 6h 58min.
TinTin the Space Traveler

A tribute to a 1950s illustration. This one was very fun to make, originally, I was drowned to it after meeting a fan of the series, who I tattooed TinTin’s face, it really made me wonder why? And I truly fell a rabbit’s hole while doing my research and finding inspiration for this piece. TinTin is one of the greatest characters I’ve seen, he embodies such a timeless ideals of courage and wonder, he is the ultimate adventurer with perpetual charm.

It took me 3h 17min.
Psychedelic frog

This is one of my first digital illustrations, which then evolved to be a tattoo I made for my husband, it definitely brings a lot of memories. I still loved all the little details and textures I used.

It took me 2h 30min
Messengers from The Everlasting Dreamland

Inspired by the late night silhouettes in winter, where all I see are sounds that runs my mind, with intrigue of the unknown.

It took me 1h 9min.
Traveler
This is a sketch practice for a character from a story I’m working on, it took me about 2h 19 min, a lot of trial and error, and of course, artistic block while staring at the blank canvas.

I used the last resource as background to help me get comfortable with it, and it definitely made the difference.

I liked the unintentional monochromatic style and the little visual pieces that makes me understand some of the personality traits of the character. However, it’s still a reminder for me to work on the expressions and the environment. It’s not finished at all, but every practice is good to keep getting better, to embrace the craft and not the idea of perfection.
Psychoanalisis Session for Mr Gingerman
Jester Eclipse

So these two are characters from a book I've been working on. With a touch of cyberpunk and textures, a maximalist experiment of concepts I started to reuse for future projects such as The Veil of Joy and Sorrow.
The Veil of Joy and Sorrow

My husband and I love the circus, and it wasn’t long ago that we visited the Circus Soleil for the first time. I never saw him this happy, at home he recreated some of the tricks we saw that day, and of course with my muse in front of me, jumping and playing as someone who awakened his inner child, I created this.
